Strips quilt

In between quilts, I decided to spend some time freeing up cupboard space by using up a lot of the strips and scrap I had collected over the past few years. I just cut up a lot of strips measuring 3" wide and 7" long and stitched them together. As I started running out of strips, I joined 2 or 3 narrower strips to make strips of the same height, and it worked out really well. My stash has come down to a very manageable size, and this bright quilt is looking great as a throw over the futon.

I decided to not give a batting layer, and just used a very soft cotton sheet as backing. Am looking forward to making another similar one when my stash size increases again.
