Kanishk's woollen blanket

may has been a busy month as i decided to finish kanishk's woollen quilt while he was home for the holidays. it's looking gorgeous, and i am glad i decided to dispense with the white blocks from the original pattern i had made.
 there are 221 blocks (13x17) with 130 black and 91 red. the basic granny square pattern of 3dc, 2ch was made with a 6 mm crochet hook, with an edging of double crochets.
