Crochet top for Supriya

Completed this in December 2020.

 I found this lovely pattern which was basically 2 long rectangles stitched up half way for the back. It had a simple hdc pattern for the body and fdc in the lower loops for an edging.  

The best moment was when Supriya wore it and said that it was so comfortable that she felt like she had always owned it.

Specifications:

Yarn - 4ply cotton yarn  Approx 600 gms used @ 1200/- per kg.
Crochet Hook size 4.5

Started with 56 chains. Each panel's width was 10.5" Length of each side - 26" x2.  For sleeve - 9" from the top of the shoulder.

I am now making a similar shrug for myself in black, with anchor knitting cotton and hook size 3.5, with 65 stitches.
