Kanishk's detachable gloves

It is a pleasure making things for people who know their mind. Kanishk saw the multi-coloured acrylic yarn I bought in Chandigarh's rehdi market, and said he would love a pair of detachable gloves made with that yarn. I hadn't even heard of detachable gloves then, but now I can appreciate the concept - the top comes off so that Kanishk's fingers can be used without the glove tips hindering his work, and the rest of the hand still stays warm. I did a lot of googling for this, and am very pleased with the final product. A slightly tighter knit may have been better, but these fit well.

I added a thick string made with this yarn at the wrists, so that they can be pulled tight - not ideal, but since Kanishk didn't want it too much below his palms, this had to be the solution.
