Quilt for Kalyani

Kalyani has been wanting a quilt similar to the checks one I made for Usha. I worked on it over one weekend in December and the front is looking really attractive I think. Made the squares bigger, using the 6.5" template so the finish is really neat. Will get fabric for the backing from Calcutta in early Feb and then hopefully finish it as a grihapravesham gift for her.

this is a picture of the blocks all stitched on - squares have aligned very comfortably i think. Am thinking of a red border for this, but may go with black again. This now measures 4 ft x 6 ft so a 4 inch border should be adequate.
