this blouse/top is made with beautiful double-shaded yarn that archie brought for me from dubai. it started off as a top for ramya but now may fit only manya :) this is only the front - still have to make the back.

this blouse front is 16" wide and len's 17". The yarn's S805C Crochet Cotton (Soft Feather) - mercerised gassed combed, colour no. 50, lot no. 10. 1 ball weighs 100 g and has 565m of yarn. I used a little less than a whole ball for this one side. (ref: www.excelcraft.com.tw). i am using hook no. 2.5mm and each square inch has 1.5 x 2 shells, and row 1 has 20 complete shells (sc, 5 dcs)
Sandhya, it looks beautiful. I love the verigated look. It seems to form a natural pattern! A suggestion, I keep a note of how many stitches and rows make an inch and the kind of yarn I use. It will help as different yarns have different tensions....so if you keep a note you can be sure of the measurement of the garment!
ReplyDeletethanks brinda - will definitely keep a record of the yarn, the needle/hook number and the measurements.
