Woollen squares blanket
I started this blanket after joining the Scheepjes CAL 'Last Dance on the Beach'. The plan was to make 4 blocks of each pattern for 12 weeks. I chose to make it with only 4 colours - dark grey, light grey, white and maroon. I also didn't like some of the patterns which had bobbles, so I liberally used my favourite shell and star patterns. I also used some patterns from the crochet book Shashank and Supriya gave me. I made a total of 42 blocks. I joined them with a slip stitch in white and had decided to make a very broad border with all the four colours.
I had completed just a few lines when Shashank arrived, fell in love with the blanket, and suggested that I not increase the border as it already was quite heavy. He took it along to Delhi and Supriya and he have been using it happily - as can be seen from the picture below :).
