January Quilt - Abhishek

i plan to make at least one quilt every month in 2013 - the january one was made in december for abhishek's birthday in the first week of the new year. i used just three colours to make this quilt in mangalagiri fabric. each of the blocks was based on patterns from amy gibson's craftsy classes for 2012. the only mistake i made was not making all the blocks of the same size, assuming i'd make up the difference in the sashing. it didn't work out too well, and i wont be repeating this mistake.

laying out the backing pasted on the floor and then the batting and then the quilt blocks worked out very well this time and i am quite satisfied with the final effect.
