Throw for the futon

not having a quilt to make every month is liberating in a way, but has also resulted in me taking ages to finish a project. the blocks for this throw (3 x 4) were made in feb, but i just didn't get the time to put them together. i used these two colours together as both were bleeding a lot and couldn't be used in ramya's butterfly quilt as planned. sticking to my decision of not buying any more fabric till i make at least two more quilts, the beading is with left over blue fabric and the backing of this two-layered quilt is a beautiful light beige that i got from chirala. definitely need to pick up more of that - the width is fabulous.

have quilted on this for the first time along the ridges of the black dividers using my new quilting foot :)

  1. lovely, Sandie! that method of stitching in the ridges as you say, is called "stitch in the ditch" :-)
